Anna Silk

Anna Silk was born in January 1974. Her most well-known role is Bo, from the Showcase's Lost Girl television series. Silk was born in Fredericton, New Brunswick in Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk were both professors. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. She's the director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna remembers her very first memory when she was at rehearsals for play with her mom. Silk was a small model in a commercial. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Arts in the field of theater at St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas was active in at least two of the early stage productions, including Seven Menus (1997) and The Kitchen (1999). Silk relocated to Toronto Canada in the month of November of 1999 in order to pursue her acting. She then relocated in Los Angeles California during the next decade. Seth Cooperman was her future husband when she began to meet him in 2007 in an actor's workshop in Los Angeles. The couple got married in December of 2009 after a civil wedding ceremony. When she converted to Judaism the couple were married again in the Jewish ceremony on the 10th of April 2011 in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May of 2013. The second son of hers, Levi Aaron was born on May 13 2016. Silk is famous for her tv role in the role of Cassidy Holland, in Being Erica. In 2009 she received nominations from her fellow actors for Gemini Awards. In 2009, she was cast as Bo Dennis, the lead role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during filming of season three's finale, and revealed this to viewers in Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on 6 January 2013. Silk posted on Twitter on June 20th that she is ready to resume her work. On June 4, 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially revealed the launch of production of the fourth season. Silk's portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as same-sex lovers on Lost Girl was named one of the all-time Top Television Couples from CNN (Cable News Network) as well as named the top Television Couple of 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Silk has, in turn, its popularity on social media has grown to a huge online fan base.
